Interior Design – The Key to Competence

Offices world over are adopting a more open and informal setting for their workplaces due to companies opting for a change in organisational pace and culture. This has tasked interior designers to create spaces that can accommodate such an environment and at the same time validate the reasons behind doing so.

While it is common home decors for start-ups to have open offices and creative work areas, a trend is emerging even with older companies opting for spaces that are freer flowing and interactive. Gone are the days of the traditional office cubicle where employees are left to be islands unto themselves. The current trends involve the use of co-working spaces and standing desks or offices with lounge chairs and bean bags.

This has also impacted the way in which work is carried out in these organizations.  Companies are becoming ever more focused on the experience they provide for their employees and design has become a key contributing factor to empower this change.
